The HTRAC All-Wheel Drive is only optional, while Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is standard. The Hyundai Tucson offers less than seven inches of ground clearance, while the Subaru Ascent's 8.7 inches allows Meriden motorists to clear obstacles with ease. The Tucson can't match the Ascent's Subaru X-Mode® with Hill Descent Control, either.
