Torrington Subaru Drivers New Subaru Outback

It has long been said that you can't please everyone. But if you're shopping for an SUV that's the exception to this rule, you'll want to take a close look at the 2018 Subaru Outback. The Outback features just about everything you'd want in an SUV, including outstanding fuel economy, the latest technology equipment, a spacious cabin and excellent off-road capability. These are just some of the reasons the Subaru Outback is so popular at dealers like Torrington Subaru. It's no wonder Edmunds named the Outback as one of their picks for Best Midsize SUV.

When you visit the Torrington Subaru Dealer, you'll notice a number of changes for 2018. The front and rear fascias get a revision that gives them a bolder look. The side mirrors are redesigned to diminish cabin noise, and there are new headlights that include LED daytime running lights. Inside, you'll find a new infotainment system that's compatible with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, along with a redesigned steering wheel and center console. The upper trims now include contrast stitching on the seats, doors and dash.

Torrington Area Subaru Dealers Agree The Outback Is Impressive

Kelley Blue Book was impressed by the 2018 Subaru Outback, writing: "The Outback is quite possibly the most recommendable vehicle for the broadest range of buyers and tasks. It's spacious, efficient, comfortable, a great value in the near and long term, and - thanks to standard all-wheel drive and excellent ground clearance - can tackle almost any road or weather condition."

The 2018 Subaru Outback seats five and is offered in six trim levels, listed as 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Touring, 3.6R Limited and 3.6R Touring. All-wheel drive is standard across the lineup. The 2.5i models are powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 175 horsepower and 174 lb.-ft. or torque. The 3.6R models get a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine that generates 256 hp and 247 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are connected to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel.

The Outback's base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine gets EPA-estimated fuel-economy ratings of 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.* The 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine gets 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
