Subaru Pairs Up with Aha for In-Car Entertainment

What's more fun than driving a Subaru? How about driving one that integrates all of your entertainment and web content with your driving experience right through the radio? Yeah, we thought that'd get your attention. Subaru has recently partnered with Aha, an interactive platform that makes mobile connectivity easily accessible and safe for drivers, and will begin to include Aha features through the in-car stereo system in future models.

The first of these, making industry headway in its own right, is the 2013 Subaru BRZ. Up until this partnership, Aha was only available as an iPhone app and an aftermarket product. Along with a substantial update to the iPhone app, the company has "built a cloud-based platform that will be continuously updated in the future, so as the Web changes and new services emerge, Subaru drivers will always be have access to the most up-to-date content through Aha. ...Subaru drivers will be among the most well-connected drivers on the road."1

What kind of unique experience is offered by Aha? Well, the list is long, but to name a few: AM, FM, and satellite radio; internet radio; live news; podcasts; audio books; traffic reports; Facebook and Twitter newsfeeds; and restaurant recommendations. Drivers will have access to all of this content from their iPhone, Android, or through the Web.

Many automakers have begun to implement this type of technology in their lineup, and we're really excited to see Subaru joining in the fun. "Smartphone activity is at an all-time high and the consumer is looking for a safe interface to interact with the content in their vehicle. Subaru has been evaluating connected car solutions for some time, and Aha is the first product that meets our criteria for safety, great design, and broad content options that can be personalized for each driver,"2 explains David Sullivan, Car Line manager, Subaru of America. That means, drivers will be able to enjoy all of the benefits of connectivity without compromising their safety - and that's something Schaller Subaru can absolutely stand behind.

Like we said, we don't think driving a Subaru has ever been more fun. Stay tuned with Schaller Subaru for more updates on this and other new Subaru news. Stop by and see us at 34 Frontage Rd Berlin, CT 06037 to take one of the many new and fun-to-drive Subaru models for a spin.
