Subaru BRZ To Enter Japan Super GT Series

Subaru is taking another stab at high performance models like Subaru Impreza. With the introduction of their BRZ concept, this Japanese auto maker could take home top sales, as well as some checkered flags.
The company wants to enter their concept BRZ sports coupe into Japan's Super GT series.
The production version of Subaru BRZ is set for November's Tokyo Motor Show, with a possible Middletown, CT reveal in the coming years thanks to Schaller Subaru.
"Super GT showcases purpose-built race cars, based on production models, running wheel to wheel on road courses in Japan and Malaysia," according to one release. Vehicles are divided to two classes: GT500 (up to 500 horsepower) and GT300 (up to 300 horsepower) - both of which running simultaneously at the event.1
Subaru and their performance STI division will enter a powerful BRZ coupe in the GT300 class during the 2012 Super GT season. Stay tuned for the latest on all Subaru concepts hitting auto shows and dealer lots soon!
